About Yelena
With over twenty years of teaching experience, Yelena specialises in helping women build strong, balanced, and graceful bodies through classical Pilates, postural training, and intelligent movement.
Her work focuses on pelvic floor strengthening, postpartum rehabilitation, core stability, flexibility, alignment, and healthy aging — supporting women through the physical and hormonal changes that naturally occur throughout life.
From ballet to pilates
Originally trained in the Russian classical ballet tradition, Yelena began her professional career as a ballet dancer before continuing her studies in ballet pedagogy through the Royal Academy of Dancing in London. Her extensive dance background developed a deep understanding of body mechanics, posture, discipline, precision, and graceful movement.
After experiencing injuries during her dance career, Yelena discovered Pilates as a powerful method of rehabilitation and long-term physical wellness. What began as recovery soon became a lifelong passion and profession.
Classical lineage
For the past seven years, Yelena has been deeply dedicated to the study and teaching of classical Pilates, training with some of the world’s most respected instructors and institutions.
She earned her Advanced Pilates Teacher Certification from The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado, and continued her education with internationally recognised classical Pilates teachers, including Olga Burkova in Moscow — a Level 3 Romana’s Pilates instructor.
Her training reflects a strong foundation in both The Pilates Center and Romana’s Pilates traditions.
The approach
Combining the precision of ballet with the intelligence of classical Pilates, Yelena’s approach focuses on creating strong, aligned, and elegant movement — while helping clients improve posture, flexibility, balance, and overall body awareness.
Today
Yelena works with private clients and small groups — helping women feel stronger, move more gracefully, and age with confidence through intelligent, personalised Pilates training.
